Who is eligible to receive a Residence Permit based on education?
Students enrolled in full-time studies at a higher education institution in Poland and who have proof of enrollment are eligible to apply for a Residence Permit.
When should you submit documents for the Residence Permit?
It’s best to submit your documents 2–3 months before your visa or previous permit expires. The earlier — the better.
Can you work with a Student Residence Permit?
Yes, full-time students have the right to work in Poland without a separate permit, but no more than 20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time during holidays.
Can you submit documents for the residence permit remotely?
Yes, we help with document preparation online — there’s no need to visit the office in person.
What should you do if your studies are over but your residence card is still valid?
You must either change the basis of your stay (for example, employment) or leave Poland before your card expires.
What documents are required to apply for a Student Residence Permit?
Required: application form, photo, passport, proof of enrollment, health insurance, proof of sufficient funds and accommodation.
How long does it take to get a residence permit based on studies?
The process can take from 3 to 6 months depending on the voivodeship. We help you submit the documents correctly to avoid delays.
What is the validity period of a Student Residence Permit?
The permit is usually issued for the duration of studies, but not more than 15 months. After that, it can be extended.
Can I apply for a residence permit right after language courses?
If you enrolled in a university after the courses — yes, it’s possible. But the language courses alone do not give the right to apply for a residence permit.
What should a student do if they change universities?
You must notify the Voivodeship Office and provide new documents confirming your studies. In some cases, you may need to submit a new application.
Can a student apply for a Residence Permit while their visa is still valid?
Yes, this is the best option. The visa allows you to stay legally in Poland until you receive a decision on your residence permit.
